Abstract
Objective: The objective of this research is to conduct a 6 week study on one groups of stroke patients and compare the pre-post results on the patients¡¯ walking.

Method: This research was conducted on 7 random stroke patients undergoing physiotherapy at howard hospital. The patients were divided into 1 groups - 7 undergoing task-orientation. A groups trained for 60 minutes a day, 5 times a week, for 6 weeks. Measurement tools used were velocity, cadence, stride length. The difference between the pre result and post result was compared using paired t test.

Results: After 6 weeks of experimentation, the showed a more significant difference(p<.05) in velocity, cadence, stride length affected side and non-affected side.

Conclusion: It can be concluded that task-orientation training is more effective in enhancing the functions of stroke patients.
